A prestigious state-wide business awards program has acknowledged the terrific work of SummitCare residential aged care facilities in the past twelve months.
The prestigious 2020 Local Business Awards program, run by local councils across New South Wales, has recently recognised six of our nursing homes as finalists in Health Professionals category (Canley Vale and St Marys), three were finalists in the Specialised Business category (Smithfield, Wallsend and Liverpool) and our Baulkham Hills home won gold as the best Specialised Business in the Sydney Hills area.
As well as operational excellence, SummitCare was acknowledged as providers of superior clinical palliative care and for our staff training programs.
“The COVID-19 restrictions last year were tough on all of us, especially our residents,” says SummitCare CEO, Michelle Sloane.
“This validation that we are great local businesses gives more exposure to the great work we do behind the scenes, in good times and bad, to provide and maintain our excellent standards of clinical and compassionate care.”
“To know that we were recognised for going above and beyond during the pandemic restrictions, with no COVID infection across the group, is a marvellous tribute.”
SummitCare entered the awards, focussing on the range of services offered to residents, the quality of the homes’ offerings through a range of food and activity options, the excellence of our teams and the great relationships we enjoy with our residents and their families.
The awards event hosted local SummitCare leadership teams to a gala dinner, where they enjoyed networking with other local businesses.
“A huge focus for us is our work, not only in the homes themselves, but within our communities,” adds Michelle.
“With a range of so many impressive finalists, across all types of business, the results demonstrate SummitCare’s commitment to working with, supporting and being involved with our local communities.
“Well done to all!”
