What is the most significant event that you have witnessed in your lifetime?
I was born in Murwillumbah a country town spent mostof my life there. I started working with Woolworths atthe aged of 14 until 2022. In 46 years I enjoyed it andmade lots of friends.
Can you tell me about a particularly memorable experience from your youth?
As a teenager we played lots of sport on Saturday and Sunday. I also taught Sunday school and did lots of volunteering with various clubs. Nothing like giving for enjoyment.
What are some of the biggest changes you have seen in your lifetime?
Meeting Norm and getting married, building a home together close to work.
Can you tell us about a person who has had a big impact on your life?
Norman my husband. We were a good team.
Tell us about a time when you faced a difficult challenge and how you overcame it?
The death of mum and dad and deciding to sell up and live in Sydney.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in life?
To enjoy what you have. Help someone who needs a lot of help.
Tell us about a tradition or custom from your youth that you still practice today / or practiced for many years?
Going to Church and going to meet my grandmother (a true Scottish lady).
What is a place you have travelled to that you found particularly interesting or beautiful? Why?
South Coast my husband and I spent our honeymoon there. It was nice and casual.
What is something you have learned in your long life that you would like to share with others?
Sharing and giving with love, I get so much enjoyment seeing their smile.
