What is the most significant event that you have witnessed in your lifetime?
Special moment was Christmas 2022. I got to spend it with my 5 generations. I have so many special moments but last year was very special.
Can you tell us about a particularly memorable experience from your youth?
When I got a letter saying that I was accepted my Nursing career at Croydon Western Suburb Hospital.
What are some of the biggest changes you have seen in your lifetime?
Our ethics and our culture.
Can you tell us about a person who has had a big impact on your life?
My gynaecologist the late Dr. Lee. I trusted my life with him. He was my gynaecologist for all my 4 children.
Tell us about a time when you faced a difficult challenge and how you overcame it?
It’s too personal and I don’t want to talk about it.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in life?
To always be true to yourself. If you want to achieve something in life, put your heart into it and grab it with both hands.
Tell us about a tradition or custom from your youth that you still practice today / or practiced for many years?
We always celebrate birthdays, Christmas or any special events with the family.
What is a place you have travelled to that you found particularly interesting or beautiful? Why?
America - It was my dream to go to America. My late husband took me there on my 40th birthday and I just loved it.
What is something you have learned in your long life that you would like to share with others?
Always make the most of everyday and be happy. If you have nothing more to give just “smile”.
I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after me. I have nothing to complain about and I wake up feeling happy everyday.
