The staff at SummitCare Randwick create a nurturing, fun and warm aged care home, giving all residents a strong sense of community and wellbeing.
Located in the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs, sea breezes and sunshine fill the Randwick aged care home thanks to high, ornate ceilings, leadlight glass and large windows.
SummitCare Randwick spans two levels, and its highly qualified, caring staff offer support including specialised dementia care. SummitCare Randwick has facilities for 94 aged care residents in beautifully appointed single, double and multi-bed rooms.
Combined dining and lounge areas provide lovely spaces in which residents can interact, and garden areas are the perfect spot for an al fresco catch-up with family and friends.
Residents in the Randwick aged care home enjoy leisure and lifestyle activities most days each week, including religious services and entertainers who provide music and dance. Experts have created our mobility and exercise program, and SummitCare Randwick aged care home also offers the Play Up program, which delivers humour therapy to residents, and the Spark of Life program to improve the wellbeing of those with dementia.
From nutritious and tasty food designed by our dietitian to on-site hairdressing services and an in-house laundry, all aspects of care are thoughtfully provided.
Treatments are available from medical specialists and allied health professionals and the Randwick aged care home prides itself on its dementia and palliative care and behaviour management strategies.

Live the life you want to live at SummitCare Randwick aged care home.
SummitCare is committed to ensuring the safety of the Randwick residents, relatives, staff and volunteers in our centres. We hold a bi-monthly Work Health & Safety and Risk Management forum, and each centre has an appointed committee.
Our residential centres conduct fire training for all staff members through Emcorp. Staff are trained in the use of equipment such as fire extinguishers, evacuation and general handling of an emergency fire situation. Mock fire training is also conducted, where staff practise evacuating residents under similar conditions. Residents can be involved in this training, or they may elect not to be involved.
In the residential aged care environment, outbreaks of infectious disease sometimes occur, despite the rigorous infection-control principles that are applied throughout our centres. SummitCare utilises a strict outbreak management procedure to contain the spread of infection in these situations. During outbreaks, visiting is suspended so as not to spread the infection beyond the centre. Any outbreaks are reported to the public health unit and the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency, as per our critical incident procedure.
SummitCare kitchens are fully compliant with HACCP legislation. Food is prepared in accordance with the HACCP guidelines, as well as the Food Safety Standards of Australia.
